Road Safety for Life

Helping schools and colleges educate young people through free road safety presentations that encourage responsible decisions and safer driving habits for life. We also provide practical guidance for parents supporting learner drivers.

ROAD SAFETY FOR SCHOOLS & COLLEGES

Safe Driving for Life Starts With Education

Safe driving for life begins long before a young person gets behind the wheel. At KSM Driving Academy, we work with schools and colleges to educate students about road safety, helping them understand the risks, recognise dangerous behaviours and make responsible decisions on the road.

Through free road safety presentations, Kylie helps schools and colleges prepare young people for the responsibilities of driving. From understanding the Fatal Four to developing safer attitudes towards road use, our aim is to encourage safe driving habits that last a lifetime. We also support parents through our Guide the Drive programme, helping them play an active role in their child’s learning journey.

Had some prior experience so wasn't sure what type of lessons I needed, spoke to Tom and was able to get some planned around me. Excellent instructor, felt really relaxed and was able to learn a lot in a short amount of time and as result passed my test first time! Totally recommend KSM and Tom in particular, perfect temperment for teaching and it shows :) thank you!

At the age of 65 and having had driving anxiety for many years. I found myself in a situation where I never thought I would drive. I have now recently passed my driving test and my driving instructor Andy Salton has been nothing short of amazing! He understood my anxiety and was professional, calm and patient. He gently pushed me out of my comfort zone and made me gain confidence and believe in myself. It has been a particularly stressful time for me, as during my driving journey my husband became seriously ill. Andy never failed to ask how my husband was and “got me” on the days that I felt particularly challenged and overwhelmed. Thank you Andy from the Walkers you are a superstar. I couldn’t have done it without you. We also hope we have gained a new family friend. 😁

Passed first time! Ryan Elliott from KSM was an amazing instructor! He helped me build up my confidence, always adapted the lesson to suit my needs and taught me things I'd need to do in the future when my test was over (like driving in the evening, and filling the car with fuel). A big thank you to Ryan!

I Had the great pleasure of having Darren as my instructor who was impeccable and the best instructor I could have asked for. When I first started my lessons I was extremely anxious and unsure and Darren was so incredibly patient with me which allowed me to build up my confidence over the course of our lessons. We always had great banter on our lessons which allowed me actually enjoy learning and pass my test confidently. I most definitely recommend Darren as an instructor as he’s literally 10/10. Thank you so much for everything Darren.

If I could give Kylie 100 ⭐️’s I would! I was recommenced Kylie at KSM after joining a National Driving school and becoming lost, during my journey to become a Driving Instructor After reaching out, from the first meeting, I knew Kylie was the perfect fit for me, straight away recognising the issues I was having and supporting me through a really tough time where I was debating whether this was the right move for me Kylie was positive, personable, knowledgeable, caring, but still demanding, setting me homework goals and constantly motivating and re-engaging me! Sound too good to be True? Normally it is, but not with Kylie, every little thing I’ve learned and trained with Kylie has been spot on, and she got me over the line FIRST time! I honestly can’t thank Kylie enough for the time, effort and support she has given me, we’ve laughed together, and learnt, which in turn has moulded me into the instructor I have become, much more confident, planned, and delivering far better lessons than I have ever delivered before! Oh, and the rest of her team are pretty good too, always happy and working so well as a team! So Kylie, thanks for everything, it’s true, you are a superstar!

Had my driving lessons with Viki. Amazing instructor and very patient. I was previously told by an instructor from another school that I was too old to drive a manual. Guess what I passed first time in a manual with Viki guiding me every step of the way. Thank you so much Viki and KSM for believing in me.

I passed my test last month, and have been driving regularly since. Emily was very supportive, and really helped build my driving confidence, she always made great use of the 2hr lesson time we had, and was just a nice person 🫵🏼 😇. I leave 4 stars because it’s expensive, and I’d definitely recommend practicing outside of the lessons as well.

0 %

Drink & Drug Driving

Alcohol and drugs can seriously affect judgement, concentration and reaction times. Understand how driving under the influence puts everyone at risk and why making responsible decisions before travelling is so important.

0 %

Mobile Phone Distractions

Even a brief glance at your phone can take your attention away from the road. Discover how distractions affect awareness, delay reactions and increase the likelihood of a serious collision.

0 %

Not Wearing a Seatbelt

Wearing a seatbelt is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself in a collision. Understand the importance of buckling up and ensuring everyone is safely secured before setting off.
